A New FREIGHT TERMINAL FOR ORLANDO

By Keith Apps

As we start to see our dependence on fossil fuel wain there are a number of questions that have to be addressed, and one of these is how we move goods about.

In my last blog I mentioned the fact that the railways will start to see a sustained growth in freight and that’s one of the reasons why we talk about a new freight terminal for Orlando .

The current format used in electric cars is not practical for heavy haulage,  but one such fuel fits the requirements and that is green liquid hydrogen, the fuel can work in a combustion chamber not dissimilar to diesel but it can also works in a hydrogen fuel cell.

You may ask why do we need a new freight depo in Orlando and the simple answer is it’s geographically suited to serve a wider area when using liquid hydrogen as a fuel but also the fuel can be produced locally.
